Nan Wang, MD
Board Certified Cardiovascular and Thoracic SurgeonDr. Nan Wang is the Medical Director for Cardiothoracic Surgery at San Antonio Community Hospital. Over the past 25 years, his focus has been on complex acquired heart disease surgery. His particular interests are Mitral Valve Repair, Aortic Root Replacement with Valve Sparing Aortic Root Reconstruction, Aortic Aneurysm and Dissection Repair, (TEVAR) Thoracic Endo-Vascular Aneurysm Repair and Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
Dr. Wang attended Loma Linda University Medical Center School of Medicine for Medical School. He also completed his Cardiac Surgery Residency at Loma Linda University. He completed an additional year of Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His training at Cleveland Clinic focused on Mitral Valve Repair, Heart Transplantion and Ventricular Assist Device Surgery.
It is Dr. Wang’s philosophy to embrace the concept of “Synergy” in providing the best care for each of his patients. Each member of the team must work together for the greater good of the patient.
Shankha S. Biswas, MD

He specializes in both thoracic and cardiac surgery with emphasis in minimally invasive approaches. His particular clinical interests are surgical management of complex coronary artery disease, structural heart disease and aortic disease. His area of expertise also includes VATS (video assisted thoracoscopic surgery) lobectomy in the treatment of lung cancer.
Dr. Biswas attended Medical School at Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his general and thoracic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center.
Puneet Dhawan, MD
Board Certified Cardiovascular and Thoracic SurgeonDr Dhawan is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCLA School of Medicine and the Assistant Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. His clinical areas of interest are Adult Cardiac Surgery, Minimal Invasive Surgery and Endovascular Surgery.
Dr Dhawan attended University of Rajasthan for Medical School. He completed his General Surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and University of Texas at San Antonio. He did his Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at Loma Linda University.
He is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery

Vincent G. Lee, MD

He specializes in both thoracic and cardiac surgery which includes surgical management of complex coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease and complex lung diseases. He also has specialized training and certification in trascatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Dr. Lee attended Medical School at Howard University School of Medicine. He completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery at Loma Linda University of Southern California
Dr Lee's medical interests include working with patients with complex heart disease, COPD, lung cancer and those patients experiencing heart failure symptoms. Dr Lee is dedicated to educating patients about their health. Patients appreciate his attention to detail and the care that he provides. He believes in doctor-patient collaborative approach to care. Neeraj Bansal, MD

Rohit Trivedi, MD

Besides a robust experience in the management of adult heart disease, his special interest and expertise is in the treatment of thoracic and abdominal aneurysms, in particular minimally invasive endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR and EVAR).
Dr. Trivedi attended Medical School at the University Hospital in Baroda, India. He completed his Surgical Residency at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey and his Cardiovascular Residency at University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Trivedi believes that the needs of the patient should always come first and to treat each patient as if he/she were a member of his family.
